Happy 2018!

Happy New Year!
We had a great first day back, and it was nice to see everyone looking relaxed and well rested! 
Our second quarter is moving right along... ending in just three weeks!  As writers, we are finishing up our non-fiction unit with learning about some different types of books to try out.  As readers, we have left non-fiction for a bit, and are learning about characters and how they impact the stories they star in.
As scientists, we are finishing up our earth science unit on pebbles, sand and silt, and in math, we are focusing on mental subtraction strategies. 
This is a very busy time of year, with lots of great activities in the classroom.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about your child... I am always available to meet after school or during lunch.
