We had a nice day in second grade today!  We started out learning about how to find out the meaning of tricky new words in reader's workshop. I demonstrated with a made up word used in a sentence...ask your kids what "florgled" means!  :)
Later, we set goals as writers, and learned how doubles facts help us to solve near doubles facts as mathematicians.  We also explored how to separate earth materials by size in science.
