Happy Monday!

Wowza... the day before a possible snowstorm can be a little crazy in second grade!  Many kiddos were CONVINCED that there will be a snowday tomorrow... I told them not to get too excited because snow storms can be tricky...  we'll have to wait and see!
Today we learned all about adding onto our knowledge as nonfiction readers.  When we read multiple books on a topic, we really get to be experts!
We also learned about using the power of tens to add single digits to two digit numbers... ie. 17+6 is the same as 20+3.  This was a tricky concept, so I sent home a practice sheet.
Please remember to send in snow gear every day now, as we try to get outside for recess whenever possible.  Also, there have been many kids going down to the nurse for snacks... please remember to send in a snack every day.
Thanks for all you do!
