As writers we are stretching our meaningful memories into small moment stories.
As readers, we are learning that readers grow with every book, and today we practiced "stopping and jotting" our thoughts as we read.
As mathematicians, we continue to explore the tricky concept of addition and subtraction being related.
At the core of all this academic learning, we are continuing to learn skills of independence, as well as how to be our best selves every day.
One way that we're learning "on the go" with real time feedback, is through the use of the app "Class Dojo". This allows me to award and remove points based on students' choices, positive or negative. It's a real, tangible, observable way for teaching and learning about social emotional skills to take place. 80% of our class parents have signed up to be able to access student profiles. I'm hopeful that we can get to 100%!
